Before and After Part II

Maureen and I took on a project just over a year ago. This was a forclosure house. The ad in the paper went something like this; "just bring your paint and a brush!". They lied. I really enjoyed posting on Susan's blog last week and wanted to contribute this Metamorphosis for her Metamorphosis Monday meme. Thanks Susan and if you have not visited her blog, please do stop by and tell her HI!

Our goal is the turn this backyard into a beautiful garden with many critter feeding stations. We are working on adding new trees and flowers. She is the greatest when it comes to garden design and flower selection.

I even find it hard to believe that this is the same back yard!

For more Metamorphosis Monday go to Between Naps on the Porch.

Thanks for stopping by,

Craig Glenn

Wow, Craig...what a transformation! Your pool is gorgeous and the decking is so crisp and clean! Amazing how much larger your yard looks in the after pics. You have an oasis right in your own backyard! I know you guys are going to really enjoy it this summer. I can't wait to see what you do in the way of plantings/gardens...that will be yet another dramatic change. BTW, I have my post ready early, so I'm going to go ahead and post it with Mr. Linky at 7:00 PM tonight. :-) Thanks for a great Met Monday! Susan

WOWZA! What a great job you did cleaning that up! The pool looks so refreshing! I remember an episode of a house-flipping show on TLC a few years ago - the guy bought a house with a pool like your previous pictures, and he threw a bucket full of clorine tablets in. Melted the liner! LOL! Oh how I miss swimming in a pool everyday - but I certainly don't miss the upkeep! Great job!

Craig--This is an amazing transformation! The area around the pool looks great with the pattern and clearing out the overgrowth adds so much light. We recently put a salt water system in our pool and it has looked just like yours (the green one:) It seems to have settled down now and hopefully will be the easy carefree pool they promised!! Can't wait to see future transformations!

A little TLC can go a long way can't it.
I can feel summer on it's way. Pour a cold beverage and put your feet up.
