I told Joan that Maureen and I were going to Silver Springs and she asked for some good critter shots. Imagine our supprise when we found several African critters. This is the first of several post from our trip to the central Florida park. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by,
Craig Glenn

Thank you for sharing this. I love the fact that both parents care for the young. Have a great weekend. I look forward to seeing more critters from your trip.
Oh I love this Craig!! See, here we think we are world apart and yet Africa is just down the road.
Thanks for posting this lovely pic. At least now you can see for yourself I do not make them out of clay. LOL!!
I hope you and M are having a great time. :)
That is one crazy cool bird..Nice shot Craig..
OK, now I'm sure that you and Tom got together for a quick trip to Africa without telling anyone, especially Joan. There's no way these animals live in Florida or Ohio. ;-)) Either that, or you've both been taking claymanation classes.
It's a beautiful bird. Look forward to more pics from your SA adventure.
Wonderful capture Craig. I've never seen an African Crane. Thanks so much for sharing.
Wow...I've not seen one of these fancy birds and I think it is beautiful! From its eyes to its whispy crown of feathers - awesome!
Those cranes are so beautiful, you're so lucky to have seen one :) Thanks for posting information about the bird too! I'm very curious about it now, I'm going to go read more about it.
I hope you had a nice weekend, thanks for sharing your photo!

Wow~! That's a lovely photo. I'm sure you photographed this crane here in South Africa :O)

Craig: That is a real beauty. We have had more African critters on then she has lately.
I saw the Crowned Crane for the first time in Vegas at the Flamingo Hotel. They are very pretty. I haven't been to Silver Springs since 1972.
