This is a Juvenile Red Shouldered Hawk enjoying a mole cricket in our yard.

Craig: Great shot of the hawk. I would have said it was a Coopers Hawk. I think the breast coloring shows that.

Craig, I think you are correct in it being a Red-shouldered juvenile. The Cooper's Hawk has a dark cap with paler feathers on back of the neck
